LYB Cargo starts as a two-desk customs brokerage on Airport Road, Tripoli.
About LYB
We started in Tripoli in 2014 with one desk, two clients and a phone that didn’t stop ringing. Twelve years later we run three branches, our own warehousing and a weekly schedule into every major Libyan gate.
01 / The short version
LYB Cargo was founded by a small group of customs brokers and freight hands who were tired of watching good shipments get stuck in the gaps between agents. One company would book the flight, another would clear it, a third would deliver it — and nobody owned the problem.
So we built a company that owns the whole file: air and sea freight, customs brokerage, warehousing and final delivery, under one licence and one operations desk. It isn’t a complicated idea, but in this market it is still rare.
Today we handle electronics, spare parts, medical supplies, machinery, FMCG and project cargo for importers and manufacturers across Libya. Some of them have been with us since the first year.

02 / Milestones
LYB Cargo starts as a two-desk customs brokerage on Airport Road, Tripoli.
A sea freight desk and a 1,200 sqm warehouse open near Misrata Port.
Medical and food imports prioritised through the pandemic; the air charter desk launches.
Eastern Libya office opens in Al-Berka, with clearance and distribution coverage to Tobruk.
Racked storage and repacking added in Tripoli and Misrata.
Weekly lanes from Dubai, Istanbul, Guangzhou, Jebel Ali and Hamburg.
03 / How we work
A forwarder is only as good as its ops desk. Ours is staffed Sunday to Thursday, with an after-hours line for live shipments.
We’d rather give you a realistic transit time than win the booking with a promise we can’t keep.
Every charge, declaration and release is documented and sent to you. No surprise line items at delivery.
If something goes wrong at the port, it’s ours to fix — not yours to chase between three companies.
04 / Credentials
Certificates available on request.
